SPACECOOL INC. announces that it has received the Excellence Award at the DBJ Startup Acceleration Award 2024, hosted by the Development Bank of Japan (DBJ). This award aims to discover and foster innovative startups that have a significant impact on the economy and society.

The DBJ Startup Acceleration Award 2024 is an initiative hosted by the Development Bank of Japan (DBJ) to support startups working on solutions to challenges in Japan and around the world. The award invited startups from various sectors and evaluated them based on criteria such as “innovation,” “economic and social impact,” “feasibility,” and “business growth potential.” After several rounds of evaluation starting in September 2024, the final results and award ceremony were held on March 10, 2025.

SPACECOOL has developed a platform based on the radiative cooling phenomenon, capable of cooling below ambient temperature with zero energy consumption. The company’s innovative technology, which stands out compared to similar products, was highly evaluated for its clear integration into a viable business model. Many companies are working on climate change mitigation, and various technologies have been developed, but SPACECOOL’s unique perspective and innovative technology stand out. While there are few domestic businesses that have succeeded internationally with cutting-edge technologies, SPACECOOL is seen as having great potential for global expansion.
