Participation to GITEX Future Stars 2021, the largest exhibition of IT technologies in Middle East and Africa

SPACECOOL INC. (CEO: Takayuki Hoshuyama) is exhibiting radiative sky cooling material, SPACECOOL® in GITEX Future Stars 2021, the largest exhibition of IT technologies in Middle East and Africa, held in Dubai, UAE, from 17th to 20th October 2021, as a member of J-Startup Pavilion, aiming to expand our business into Middle East and Africa areas.

 

Many companies are conducting demonstration experiments of leading technologies and services in Dubai. The city is growing rapidly as an innovation hub by great efforts of its government. We believe that it is an “Entry Gate” of our business in Middle East and Africa.

In this year, we are expecting more visitors than that in every year because of Expo 2020 Dubai held on the same schedule.

 

In J-Startup Pavilion, which is produced by JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization), SPACECOOL INC. was selected as a member of the exhibition.

Our material, SPACECOOL®, enables the room under itself to be cooler than the ambient air in direct sunlight without consuming any external energy sources by both reflecting solar ray and radiating heat to outer space.

 

We already have two lineups of this material, film type and canvas type. SPACECOOL INC. which is invested by Osaka Gas, is engaged in producing and selling it.

 

SPACECOOL INC. is also participating in the demonstration experiment in Yumeshima, Osaka, since 26th August 2021, sponsored by the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition and the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

 

In areas below the equator including Middle East and Africa, we believe that our material can contribute to suppress the heat environment, especially by applying to cubicles for electronic devices, power conditioners and batteries installed Solar power plants, prefab house and membrane structure.

 

We strongly expect that this exhibition in GITEX Future Stars 2021 will be an opportunity to expand our business to Middle East and Africa by a great support of JETRO for matching with local companies. And we also hope to build relationship to manufacturers, users, government agencies.

1.Radiative Cooling Material

SPACECOOL® is passive radiative sky cooling material that was developed by Osaka Gas. (Figure.1) This high-performance, high-durability, flexible film blocks heat from the sun and atmosphere and reduces heat absorption. Further, heat is dispelled through radiation to outer space, enabling continuous cooling without consuming any energy.

 

Two types, film and canvas, are already ready to produce. (Figure.2-1, 2-2)

2.GITEX Future Stars 2021

GITEX is the largest IT exhibition in Middle East and Africa to which a lot of VIPs from various countries such as government officials, regional managers of global conglomerate companies are expected to visit. Future Stars is a particular area for startup companies.
