【COP29】SPACECOOL has been selected as a virtual exhibitor at the Ministry of the Environment’s “Japan Pavilion”. Showcasing Carbon-Neutral Building Examples Utilizing Radiative Cooling Materials.
SPACECOOL INC. has been selected as a virtual exhibitor at the Ministry of the Environment’s “Japan Pavilion” during the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), held in Baku, Azerbaijan from November 11th to 22nd. We will showcase Carbon-Neutral building examples utilizing radiative cooling materials.
The Japan Pavilion has been established with the purpose of sharing with the world Japan’s technologies, products, and services that support global decarbonization and adaptation to climate change, in line with the country’s long-term goal of achieving “net zero by 2050.”
Our radiative cooling material, “SPACECOOL”, invented by our company, is a new material that contributes to carbon neutrality by enabling zero-energy cooling by releasing heat into space. In past exhibitions at COP27 and COP28, we conducted physical displays at the Japan Pavilion, but at COP29, we will be showcasing a virtual exhibition that overcomes geographical constraints for visitors. The exhibition will primarily demonstrate case studies that highlight the material’s effectiveness in suppressing temperature increases in buildings and reducing air conditioning energy consumption, emphasizing its contribution to achieving carbon neutrality.
