About EURAMET and the PaRaMetriC Research Project

EURAMET is the Regional Metrology Organisation of Europe and comprises national metrology institutes and other related organizations from across Europe. It promotes research into measurement technologies and metrology standards in Europe, supporting the international reliability and mutual recognition of measurement results.

 

PaRaMetriC is a research project under the European Partnership on Metrology, jointly undertaken by EURAMET, the European Union, and participating countries.

 

National metrology institutes and other organizations from across Europe participated in the project and conducted measurements with the aim of establishing accurate and standardized methods for measuring the performance of passive radiative cooling materials and developing an international evaluation framework that enables the objective comparison of materials and products from different manufacturers.

Evaluation of SPACECOOL

EURAMET’s case study reports that 11 research and metrology institutes participating in PaRaMetriC compared and evaluated three commercially available passive radiative cooling materials. SPACECOOL was highlighted as a material with favourable radiative cooling performance, scalability, and reproducibility.

 

SPACECOOL was selected as a candidate reference material for use in the measurement and evaluation of passive radiative cooling materials.

 

The case study also reports that the measurements conducted through PaRaMetriC produced reliable metrological data supporting the performance of SPACECOOL.
